Port Curtis Road State School is a small country school which has a family atmosphere. We are only 2 kilometres from the Yeppen roundabout and only 7 kilometres to the heart of Rockhampton. We are a small school with a big heart!
We are committed to helping all of our students reach their full potential. Our high expectations promote the growth and development for students to grow and develop positive values. We are a Positive Behaviour for Learning school and reinforce the schoolwide expectations (we are learners, we are responsible, we are respectful, we are safe) both in and out of the classroom consistently.
We utilise various agencies and sporting development clinics to give our students as many opportunities as possible. A Speech Language Pathologist is prioritised once per week to assist with oracy and early literacy in the early years and through small group intervention. We also seek support from a Guidance Officer one day per week to support the wellbeing of the entire community.
Breakfast Club is operating every morning from 8:30am - 8:50am, which is funded through out partnership with Hastings Deering and support of Brumby's bakery.
