Enrolment Procedure
Enrolling your child at Port Curtis Road State School is a simple, straight-forward process. Our administration staff will be happy to guide you and answer any questions you may have.
Policies and Documents
Upon deciding to start the process of enrolment there are a number of policies and documents we require parents/caregivers to familiarise themselves with. These explain our school policies and procedures. All the relevant documents are available for viewing/downloading using the links on the right hand side of this page.
You will also need to download the Department of Education’s Student Enrolment Application form and fill it out.
Alternatively, please contact our school administration for an enrolment package containing all the documents/forms you will need.
Interview/Tour
Once you have read the relevant documents please contact the school to arrange a tour of our facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to get a sense of what Port Curtis Road State School has to offer and see the school in action during a typical day. Part of your tour will include an interview with our principal.
Here is a checklist of things you will require to complete your child’s enrolment:
Enrolment Form for your child. Please ensure all fields marked with an (*) have been filled in (form available on this page using the link on the right)
Port Curtis Road State School Enrolment Agreement. Signing this agreement indicates that you have received and understood the school’s policies and procedures
State School Consent Form-Media form know as PCRSS Media Consent must be completed.
Internet Access Form (form available on this page using the link on the right)
Your child’s birth certificate (this will need to be sighted on enrolment)
A copy of any relevant Family Court orders or parenting agreements/custody details
Details of medical conditions if any
Relevant information about your child’s educational needs from other agencies or professionals

Uniforms
Port Curtis Road State School expects all students to wear the approved uniform. Our dress code is as follows:
Girls: Black pleated skirts, skorts or shorts; PCRSS polo shirt; Porty bucket hat.
Boys: Black shorts; PCRSS polo shirt; Porty bucket hat..
We are a Sunsmart School, and as such we enforce: “No hat – no outside play”.
Uniforms can be purchased at our administration office. PCRSS polo shirts are $30.00 and Porty bucket hats are $15.00.
Black jumpers or jackets can be worn in the cooler months. No hooded jackets please.
SENIOR SHIRTS - YR 6 ONLY available from the office for $45.00.
Book Lists
Student book lists for all year levels can be accessed using tab Enrolments - Booklists. At the beginning of the year we also require each student to contribute 4 reams of A4 80gsm photocopy paper and 2 boxes of 200pkt tissues.
