Library/Resource Centre was officially opened on 29th
August 2011, as part of the Building the Education Revolution project. The library is coordinated by Mrs Collins.
Each class visits the library at least once per week and this is integrated with technology, buddy reading and maths. The library is opened most lunches for students to enjoy computers, Lego, board games, colouring in, music and reading. The library is used for special events such as presentations and special assemblies.
Our library houses many displays such as ANZAC, Science and Technology and Positive Behaviour for Learning resources. There is also a giant Connect 4 game that students enjoy using.
Scholastic Book Club
We have two catalogues sent home with families each term where students can purchase books from. Families have the option of returning orders to school with money or ordering online. All orders are delivered to the school for distribution.
Bookfair Scholastic
Bookfair operates in May and November in the library. Bookfair runs for a week and families are able to come in and have a look at the books and make a purchase if you wish. Mrs Collins often runs a dress up to coincide with Bookfair depending on the theme.
All books sold from both Book Club and the Bookfair benefits our library. This is then spent on purchasing new books throughout the year.
